Luka A., Office Manager

Luka has been with Handsboro Animal Hospital since 2014; she has worked in the veterinary industry since 2005. Throughout her career, Luka has held a variety of positions including veterinary technician, receptionist, kennel technician, and manager. Luka married her high school sweetheart, and they have been together for 20 years. Their family includes a pitbull named Eli. In her free time, Luka enjoys fishing, golfing, and anything outdoors, mainly working out. A couple of fun facts about Luka are that she played high school basketball, and she loves all living creatures.


Riley P., Veterinary Technician

Riley became a member of the staff at Handsboro Animal Hospital in 2021. She began working in the field of veterinary medicine at the age of 16 and has acquired a great deal of experience since then. Riley has a dog named Balor who is the best dog in the world. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities.


Evan C., Veterinary Technician

Evan joined the staff at Handsboro Animal Hospital in 2023 as a veterinary technician. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business in 2022 from the University of Southern Mississippi. Working at the clinic is Evan’s first experience in the veterinary field. He feels that by far, this is the best job he has ever had. Evan has a son named Brodie. His favorite hobbies include playing tennis and spending time on a boat.


Bella M., Veterinary Technician

Bella has been part of the team at Handsboro Animal Hospital since 2023. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Bella has prior experience working for several veterinary clinics as a technician/assistant, and she had a student worker job at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in the MDL. Bella lives with a 14 year old cockapoo and a 4 year old yellow British lab. She likes to play tennis, go out on the water, and spend time with family and friends. A fun fact about Bella is that she is ambidextrous–she can use both her left and right hand as her dominant hand.


Natasha H., Kennel Technician

Natasha has been with Handsboro Animal Hospital since 2023. She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College where she earned an Associate of Arts degree in Theatre in May of 2016. Natasha previously worked as a kennel technician at Southern Pines Animal Shelter, and she has years of experience pet sitting. She has an 11 year old dog named Minka who has her own social media accounts. Natasha’s hobbies include acting, modeling, and environmentalism.


Oreyel J., Kennel Technician

Oreyel graduated from Gulfport High School and completed some college courses. She is married to her husband, Julian, and they have a son named Julian, Jr. Oreyel enjoys cookouts and get-togethers with family and friends, kayaking, shopping, traveling, and watching tv shows. Fun facts about Oreyel are that she considers herself a big kid, never changing who she is. She loves alligators and going to alligator farms with boat rides. She also loves music and feels that music heals everything.


Sue D., Receptionist

Sue has the distinction of being the employee who has been with Handsboro Animal Hospital for the longest period of time- since 1974! Her vivacious personality, sense of humor, and real love for pets have contributed to her staying power throughout the years. Sue has a cat named Jess. Her interests beyond the hospital include witchcraft; she loves natural herbs.


Niki S., Receptionist

Niki has worked on and off in the veterinary field since 1999. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from the University of Southern Mississippi. Niki has a son named Alex and a daughter named Alli. Their pet family includes a Great Dane named Storm. A fun fact about Niki is that she taught Dr. Gaddy tennis in high school.
